Our board members attended the LIP Association meeting on Sept 22nd at Camp Runells. It was held by David Neils from DES and he had a handout which I have added a link to a copy below. It was a good meeting and there was talk about reestablishing the LIP Association.
Some topics of discussion were volunteer opportunities, what you can do to keep the lake clean, lake stats, helpful places (Lake Facts) to go on the DES website, how often the water is tested (volunteers needed to increase the test and improve data), the condition of the lake is good and healthy, exotic species to look out for, and Cindy Ronning is the administrator of the Little Island Pond Facebook page and it is by invite only now.
